Don't Sweat It - Ditch the Spray

Usually after using my spray on deodorant I hold my breath, spray and leave the room.   Why?  I find the potent spray actually causes me to choke and cough.   It leaves a bitter taste in my throat.    After years of using this same one I have to wonder, is it leaving any other nasty surprises in my body.

What are the risks?

  • skin reactions
  • allergies
  • heart problems
  • links with breast cancer
  • death from inhalation ( from accidental overuse and recreational abuse)
  • breathing difficulties including exacerbating asthma

I find the particular brand very effective but after hearing so much negative publicity about the sprays,  I've started to research more natural alternatives.

You can lower your risk of all these negative side effects by simply changing to a roll on or stick deodorant.  Already you have made a more health concious decision as you are no longer breathing in these potentially lethal chemicals.

I have personally started to use an Aloe Vera based stick.  It is gentle but also provides all day protection.   I can't fault it so far, it doesn't leave any  white marks on clothes which is a huge deal breaker for myself having to wear black clothes to work daily.   Apparently this is so kind to your skin it can even be used immediately after waxing.   Most importantly it does not contain the nasty chemicals and aluminium that is being linked increasingly with breast cancer.   Some friends are reporting getting 6-12 months out of one stick at less than 8 euro each so it also works out very cost effective.    Weirdly enough although the company don't advertise this fact, many people report dark shadows in the underarm area (usually caused by excessive shaving) disappearing making the armpits appear a much healthier colour.

If you want to ditch the spray and make the change to a healthier alternative click here for a local distributor of this and many other health promoting products.
