To Bee or not to Bee?

That is the question.

You may not be a huge fan of bees.  You may even be scared of them, but did you know they have a lot more to offer than a nasty sting?

Without bees our farming industry worldwide would collapse.   They pollinate nearly all the crops that feed 90% of the worlds population.   Bees are more than likely the reason you are eating.

Bees are very useful insects and many beehive products are specifically helpful to common human conditions.

The beehive is the most sterile place in the natural world.  Inside the beehive, no bacteria or fungus can live.   The bees make a substance called propolis, and it is this they use to sterilise and seal every crack and hole in the hive.   We now know that propolis can be taken in tablet form and works very effectively as a natural antibiotic.   It is particularly effective in the treatment of acne, without the nasty side effects that taking a long term antibiotic bring.
